About Robert L Jackson

Robert L Jackson Hello! I am Robert Jackson, born and raised in Atlanta, GA, but reside in Lilburn, GA. I am a wildlife and nature photographer. I grew up spending many hours with my father (Robert Jackson, Sr.), a man of many talents. Thanks to him, I inherited some of those gifts. One in particular is photography. My father had a great love for photography and although he was a casual and candid shooter with a Polaroid camera, he took so many great shots with it. Just by watching him and seeing his reaction after his Polaroid film would come to life, it made me want to do the same. So at a very young age, I pick up a camera and never put it down. I absolutely love taking pictures and as you will see on my website, wild birds are my favorite. I am particularly very fun of the hummingbird. The reason is because they are very small, very fast, very beautiful, interesting, and a challenge to capture with the camera. I actually photograph them thru a window in the breakfast area of my kitchen. I have a hummer feeder that hangs from a suction cup device that sticks to the window. This allows me to photograph them in very close proximity. By the way, I also make my own food for them. It's a mixture of sugar, water, and very little vanilla. They absolutely love it and come back for it every year in March from South America. That's another thing that makes these little ones so interesting, is that they migrate back and forth over the Gulf of Mexico ever year. Simply amazing! Now that you've read a little bit about me and my love for photography, I welcome you to my site and hope that you will enjoy the art of which was shot to the lens of my camera.
